For the past number of years, back to 2001, 'Inis - the energy of the sea' has been a core sponsor for the Irish Whale and Dolphin Society Annual Whale Watch which takes place every year around the Irish coastline. This is fitting for us given Inis' connection with the sea and the event has grown from strength to strength over the years. This year it takes place on Sunday, August 22nd and the IWDG are also celebrating the 19th anniversary of the declaration of Irish waters as a whale and dolphin sanctuary. The general public are invited to come along to designated headlands for a land based whale watch. The experience offers the opportunity to see stunning coastline scenery and a variety of marine wildlife.
